The Parish Pastoral Council are looking for new members

We are looking for members of the Parish to serve on the Parish Pastoral Council – PPC.

During 2023 a number of our members will have reached the end of their term of office. That in turn creates vacancies. Members who have served only one term of office may accept nominations for a second term. However, some have informally indicated that they will not be accepting nominations to serve another term.

The Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative and advisory body made up of elected or appointed parishioners and exists primarily to support the parish priest in the running of the parish. You can read more about us here. We meet every couple of months. We welcome parishioners from all aspects of parish life to consider joining, new members to the parish, all ages (but at least 19 years), representatives from Parish Groups. Ideally the PPC should reflect the diversity of our parish. Anyone who would like to contribute to fostering a caring, loving, Christ centred community is welcome to join.

Considering being nominated ?

Nomination sheets will be on the notice board at the back of the church for three weekends from the 30th of April. You will need to find four parishioners to nominate you or 4 parishioners may find someone to nominate. In the event that there are more nominations than vacancies an election will be held in early June. When the new PPC is formed a new Chair and Vice Chair will be elected in September.
