The times for Sunday and weekday Masses at St Aidan’s are on the home page.

For Catholics now, as in the past, the Eucharist is the source and summit of the whole Christian life. In the celebration of Mass, which is a memorial of the sacrifice of the cross, Christ is really present first of all in the assembly itself: “For where two or three meet in my name, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:20).  In the liturgy of the word, the readings, it is Christ himself who is speaking to us. The Catholic Church teaches that Christ is truly present when the bread and wine are consecrated. Those gathered for Mass are never a random group of individuals but the gathering of God’s people to give him thanks and praise.
