The Parish Pastoral Council held its third Zoom meeting of the year on 8th April; we began as usual with an opening prayer.
We reviewed the arrangements for the Good Friday and Easter Services, in particular the booking system and stewarding. We are delighted to report how smoothly the process went and the PPC would like to give our thanks to Leonie and Colin for all their hard work and planning.
We discussed how we keep the Parish connected both in traditional means and digital platforms. We would like to highlight the Parish Facebook group as a great way to keep in touch with other parishioners especially as lockdown restrictions start to be lifted. Looking forward to the next few months we hope there will be lots of news as we cautiously start to open up those parish activities we have missed so much!
Fr Peter updated the meeting on the plans for the church house gardens. A full report is in last week’s newsletter which can be found on the website
Fr Peter brought the meeting to a close with a final prayer with special mention of those people suffering from, or being affected by, Coronavirus in any way.
We would be pleased to hear from members of the parish on any subject. Please speak to any member of the Council, drop a letter into the sacristy or contact Gerry via odonnellgerry@outlook.com.
The PPC members are, Fr. Peter, Sue Carr, Pauline D’Mello-Maplesden, Brenda Eydman, Roque Fernandes, Bernadette Hallett, Bridget Hanlon, Penne Hutton, Peter McFall, Erica Thurbon, Gerry O’Donnell, Elsie Ofili and Colin Wilding.
