The Parish Pastoral Council held its first meeting of 2023 on the 20th January.
We discussed the PPC Constitution and Terms of Office. There will be a number of vacancies on the PPC created during 2023 as terms of office are due for renewal and current members have indicated they will not be seeking reelection. A process will be laid out to invite members of the parish to seek nomination to join the PPC.If the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies an election will be held before the summer. When the new PPC is formed we will also be looking to elect a new Chair and Vice Chair.
We would invite members of the Parish to consider serving on the PPC, a term is four years and meetings are held every three months. Speak to Fr Peter or any PPC member if you would like to learn more. Visit our webpage here..
To follow up on our submission to the Synodal Process we reviewed the plans we have under the themes of Welcoming, the Vulnerable and On line. Next meeting we will be discussion Elderly, Young Families and our Youth. Full details can be found in the minutes
Fr Peter brought the meeting to a close with a final prayer.
Our next PPC meeting is on Wednesday 15th March 2023. We would be pleased to hear from members of the parish on any subject. Please speak to any member of the Council, drop a letter into the sacristy or contact Gerry via odonnellgerry@outlook.com.
