Parish Pastoral Council Meeting 17th June 2021

The Parish Pastoral Council held a Zoom meeting 17th June; we began as usual with an opening prayer.

We discussed what we should consider now in anticipation of the easing of lockdown restrictions, in particular when the hall is no longer needed as a full time vaccination centre. We will contact the various group leaders to ask them about their plans.

We reviewed the arrangements for Mass and welcome more parishioners returning for Mass. We are very appreciative of the work done by the stewards every week to keep the church open. We have asked them to remain vigilant of the seating arrangements especially with the increase of the Delta variant.

The meeting then discussed “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission” This is a new and exciting initiative by Pope Francis and we will be hearing much more about this in the autumn. Meanwhile please see the website for more information.

Finally we were pleased to hear from Fr Peter that work on the church house gardens is progressing well and we hope will be completed soon. Everyone is invited to stroll up to the house and take a look.
