“Guided Meditation” Taster Evening Friday 15 March 8:00–9:30pm in St Aidan’s Church

Led by Janet O’Donnell. “Guided Meditation” is a form of Christ-centred meditation inspired by Ignatian spirituality. It enables people, with or without a Church background, to meet with Jesus in their imagination and to deepen their spiritual awareness. It is an opportunity to pause in the busyness of life, to quieten the mind and allow the spirit some sanctuary.

If you’re interested in trying this out, you are invited to an evening session in the church, which will include a relaxation exercise, a meditation in the tradition of St Ignatius, and a guided time of silence. A gentle piece of music will lead you back to the present moment, and a non-judgemental optional short time of sharing. You are welcome to bring a favourite cushion, mat or bolster to help you to feel more comfortable and relaxed. Non-Catholic friends are most welcome. Try the meditations at www.taketime.org.uk and then just come along.
