Milk Bottle Tops - Update THANK YOU for your contributions so far to our collection of plastic milk bottle tops. We delivered a very large bag of milk bottle tops to our contact at Our Lady of the Annunciation in Addiscombe just before Easter, and it would be great if we could make this a regular delivery. Just to remind you, these are sent to a company who granulate them so that they can be recycled into other products, in return for a donation to a nominated charity. The charity chosen to benefit in this case is A Rocha, a Christian environmental charity. If you would like to help with the scheme, please bring your plastic milk bottle tops and place them in the designated box in the porch.
Milk bottle tops only please; if there is anything in a bag which clearly isn't a milk-bottle top, that bag is rejected and the chosen charity doesn’t get paid. Please note that tops must be washed clean, and be free of any paper, rubber or foil inserts.

Thank you to Stephen Baister who has been the organist at the 9am Mass for almost 25 years. Easter Sunday was his last time playing on a regular basis at St. Aidan’s. He is very much a ‘no fuss’ person and he specifically requested that an announcement not be made. This seems a good time to repeat the ongoing plea for anyone who plays piano or organ to make themselves known so that we might have accompaniment for our hymns at 9am. Many who attend the 6pm Saturday Mass would also love to have some hymns from time to time. Please contact Fr. Peter if you can help with either of these Masses. We don’t currently have a piano but we can acquire a digital piano if we had a pianist.

Dear Sisters & Brothers,   Thank you for your generosity with the Easter offerings. Thanks also to those who were away but brought their offering before or after Easter. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who gave me cards, good wishes and gifts as well as assurances of prayers.   A big thank you to the many parishioners who gave of their time and worked so hard to prepare the Church and assist at the many services and Masses over Holy Week and Easter. Thank you to the people who arranged the flowers, the Easter garden and other displays. It was also good to have our singers, cantors and musicians leading the music as they do throughout the year. I thank the altar servers for turning out with their usual enthusiasm. There are many others, including readers, ministers, sacristans, cleaners, collectors and money counters who always make a generous contribution of their time and talent.   Yours in Christ,
